GUDOVAC, Sept 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Ivo Josipovic on Friday opened the 20th international cattle fair in Gudovac near Bjelovar.
The Gudovac fair is the biggest cattle fair in Croatia, featuring more than 480 exhibitors from Croatia and abroad.
Agriculture is a strategic branch of the economy, the president said adding that a lot must be done so that Croatia can compete on the European market.
The fair was also attended by Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina who said it was necessary for farmers organise in clusters and associations.
Also eld as part of the three day-fair in Gudovac will be a national cattle exhibition.
