NEW YORK, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- The pilot for "666 Park Ave." has been picked up by ABC, the producers of the spooky series announced.

The drama revolves around a couple who sign on as the managers of a swell Manhattan apartment where the residents have all unwittingly made deals with the devil to attain their desires.

Warner Bros. Television and Alloy Entertainment created the project, which is based on a series of books by Gabriella Pierce. Alloy has been on a hot streak as producers of "Gossip Girl," "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Secret Circle."

The Hollywood Reporter said ABC and Alloy have past ties among Alloy executives and Paul Lee, the head of ABC's entertainment division.

There was no word on casting or when the new chiller will hit the airwaves.
