Former school colleagues of Anne Frank get together after nearly 70 years.
Former schoolmates of Anne Frank reunited in a Dutch television show and shared their memories of a famous girl, show's producer said on Tuesday.
- In a special edition of the show, 15 former school colleagues of Anne Frank got together after nearly 70 years – a show called KRO announced.
- They will reveal new details on the life of Anne Frank prior to her deportation and share their thoughts on how the war changed the youth of their generation - adds KRO.
The show will include nine students of the Montessori elementary school in Amsterdam where Anne Frank took classes from 1940 to 1941. They will be joined by another six students from the Jewish high school that she attended from 1941 until 1942. The Dutch public television will broadcast the show on December 27.
She wrote about children from her class
Anne Frank, who would be 80 had she survived the Nazi concentration camp, wrote about children from her class, recalls KRO. Anna extensively described her relatives Appy and Sally, who participated in the show, and admitted that she had a crush with the latter.
Anne Frank died in the spring of 1945 in the Bergen-Belsen death camp in northern Germany.
Her diaries were found after the war by a family friend who gave them to her father, Otto Frank. He was the only survivor from the family.
‘Diary of Anne Frank’ has been translated into over 70 languages and is one of the most read works in the world.
