Sir Elton John is rumoured to be duetting with Lady Gaga at this weekend’s Grammy Awards.
The ‘Rocket Man’ musician is set to take to the stage with the pop beauty at the prestigious ceremony which takes place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday (31.01.10).
It is not yet known what track the pair might perform, but given their flamboyant stage shows it is set to be spectacular.
A source said: “Elton and Lady Gaga on the same stage is sure to create fireworks, it could be one of the most memorable Grammy performances of all time.”
Elton, 62, is no stranger to show-stopping Grammy performances.
In 2001, he famously joined Eminem for a version of the rapper’s worldwide hit ‘Stan’, amid controversy as the hip-hop star was widely regarded as homophobic at the time due to the lyrics of many of his tracks.
Other artists performing at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards include Pink, Beyonce Knowles, Blacked Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift.
Beyonce heads up the list of nominations after being put forward for 10 honours, while Taylor Swift has eight, followed by Black Eyed Peas on six.
