Priestley is yet to be approached by producers.
‘Beverly Hills 90210’ star Jason Priestley is “open” to starring in a new spin-off of the hit TV show. The actor – who starred as Brandon Walsh in the hugely popular US series from 1990 to 2000 – would definitely consider appearing in the programme, but is yet to be approached by producers.
He said: “They haven't contacted me about doing anything yet. But if it's the right thing, I'm certainly open to it. I loved working on that show. I loved everything I did on it. I had so many different jobs, it was great.”
Jason – who has since starred in US TV shows ‘Without a Trace’ and ‘Medium’ – also revealed he isn’t prepared to appear on US TV talent show ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
The actor, who is a budding racing driver, said: “Racing is much more my thing. Also, since I had my big crash back in 2002, I probably wouldn't be able to put on those crazy shoes that you have to wear. I'm not a dancer!”
The pilot of the ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ spin-off – which is expected to focus on the new principal of West Beverly High School, who moves his family of four from Kansas to California – is being written by ‘Veronica Mars’ creator Rob Thomas.
Other original stars expected to return include, Tori Spelling, Luke Perry and Shannon Doherty.
