Johnny Depp Shooting Film On Dante

The actor`s production company has purchased the rights to film based on In The Hand of Dance novel.

Infinitum Nihil production company, owned by Johnny Depp, has purchased the copyright to shooting a film based on Nick Tosches`s novel “In The Hand Of Dante”, variety.com writes.

Turning point of Depp`s company

The film will contribute to even greater affirmation of the producing company, which Depp established with partner Christie Dembrowski. They paid the copyright with their own money and the film will be made in collaboration with Warner Bros or GK Films by Graham King.

Depp to play the author of a book on Dante

The novel thematises Dante`s masterpiece “The Divine Comedy” and tells two parallel stories. One story follows Dante`s life in the 14 th century, when he was finishing “The Divine Comedy”, while the other story follows Tosches, who is trying to confirm the authenticity of Dante`s manuscript. Johnny Depp will surely be playing Nick Tosches.

Depp is currently filming “Alice in wonderland”, and is also preparing to film another sequel to the Pirates of the Caribbean – The Lone Ranger. He is also lending his voice to the animated character Rango in Gore Verbinski`s picture of the same name.
