Metcalfe and Santana get engaged

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Jesse Metcalfe is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress Cara Santana, a source close to the couple told UsMagazine.com.

Metcalfe and Santana "have been dating for four to five years and living together for at least three," the insider said.

No other details regarding when they got engaged or whether they have set a wedding date were immediately reported.

The actor is best known for his work on TV's "Desperate Housewives."
