New Leonardo da Vinci’s work discovered

Text

The painting containing his fingerprint is the first Da Vinci painting discovered in the past hundred years.

Experts believe that they have discovered previously unknown work by Leonardo da Vinci and they claim that his fingerprint is the proof, The Associated Press reports.

Forensic art expert from Montreal, Peter Paul Biro, claims that he found the Da Vinci fingerprint on the work that was believed to have originated in the 19th century Germany.

Collector of Canadian origin, Peter Silverman, bought the work called “Profile of a beautiful princess” from the Ganz gallery in New York. He bought it on the behalf of anonymous Swiss collector at a cost of $ 19.000.

Biro says that the picture contains a fingerprint that matches the one found in the painting of St. Jerome in the Vatican.

- Leonardo da Vinci literally used his fingers as part of his painting technique and his fingerprints were found on many of the works - said Biro.

Experts say that if Bureau is right, this would be the first unknown da Vinci discovered in the last 100 years. Experts say that in case this was true, its value would reach more than $ 150 million.
