Croatian naïve painter Ivan Rabuzin died at the age of 87. The painter was born on March 27, 1921 in Kljuc.
He finished the master`s department of the Zagreb Crafts School, attaining the foundations of art culture, while he attended evening drawing lessons thoroughout his education. Rabuzin was a self-taught painter, who lookedat the world around him with speacial eyes.
He held his first independent exhibition in 1965, while four years later, profession confirmed him as a modern master.
Rabuzin often described his art as a vision, an idealistic reconstruction of the world. Over tha past several years, flowers have become a recognisable element and a signature for Rabuzin in his art.
He held important exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Zurich, Bratislava, Oslo, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Geneva etc. In total, he has held over 200 independent exhibitions in Croatia and abroad.
