PhotoMost of them do not have a six-pack, muscular arms, and a body in their prime, nevertheless, they are hot, hot, hot and charismatic.
Most of them do not have a six-pack, muscular arms, and a body in their prime, nevertheless, they are hot, hot, hot, charismatic and bigger men than those who try to catch the ladies with a waxed chest. In case you have not guessed it yet, we are talking about a group of nearly extinct charismatic men.
Apart from being actors, who do their job splendidly, they attract like magnets. These guys look the way real men ought to look like.
First on our list is Viggo Peter Mortensen. Now, no objections please, he is not exactly old and not scruffy, but isn`t he the type of man who comes to mind when we thing of the word man? If you are not sure who Mortensen is and you have seen the Lord of the Rings, or Croneberg`s mafia Eastern Promises, you will know whom we are talking about. When the lights go out, Viggo is a polyglot, he is fluent in Swedish, French, and Italian. He is Danish by origin and detests Bush…
Scorching Brit Ralph Fiennes, whom we had the privilege of seeing in the “English Patient”, “Schindler`s List” or the “Reader”, is simply breathtaking. Fiennes is not exactly a sweet child, a fact not widely known. In 2007, he flew to India as UNICEF`s ambassador for HIV awareness, but he did not miss out on unprotected sex with a 38-year-old flight attendant on board. To make matters worse, only a month after this event, Fiennes would not let the guests of a luxurious Belgian hotel sleep. He was “having fun” with four women until 5 a.m. In a swimming pool, of course.
Malkovich would love to shoot Tom Cruise, Phoenix wants to be a rapper
Joaquin Rafael Phoenix, born in Puerto Rico is remembered for his roles in “U-Turn”, “Hotel Rwanda” and “To Die For”. He is a member of PETA, a vegan and has been trying to become a rapper for a while. He was mocked for it. Phoenix used to date Liv Tyler and he was in rehab for alcohol addiction. Three years ago, he drove his car into a canal and was rescued by the famous Werner Herzog.
Good old John Malkovich is not exactly handsome with a hair style like the one he had in Spielberg`s “Empire of the Sun”, but he looked, excuse us, acted immaculately in “Dangerous Liaisons”. This excellent actor who has Croatian roots starred in “Burn After Reading”, “Being John Malkovich” and a whole like of other great films. In an interview, he said he would most like to shoot Tom Cruise and reporter Robert Fisk. Apart from dating Michelle Pfeiffer, he has lost a ton of cash when charming Bernard Madoff`s pyramid went down.
Benicio Del Toro of Puerto Rico was born into law and his parents had a few nervous breakdowns when they found out he wanted to become an actor. Toro hides his private life well. It is only known that his mother died of hepatitis when he was 9 years old. He was featured in Madonna`s video “La Isla Bonita”, after which his career took off. He played in Miami Vice TV series, gained 18 kilos for a part in “Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas”. We also remember his great acting in “21 Grams”, “Traffic”, “Sin City” etc.
Clint Eastwood is mandatory when we are talking about charismatic guys. Although he is not really youthful, given that he will soon turn 80, Eastwood has enormous charisma and charm which is not often stumbled upon. He displayed his enviable physique in “Bridges of Madison County” at the age of 65. He became famous playing in spaghetti westerns, where he picked up the standard macho patriots. Eastwood took up directing later on, as well as acting in his own films, which was a sure shot. We have still not come to terms with the news that he is planning to retire. He plays the piano, adores jazz, flies a plane and now has a luxurious golf club.
Ray Liotta is not all that popular, however, just like all the mentioned men, he is charismatic and this does not go away. We had the chance of getting to know him better in Scorsese`s “Goodfellas”, while he acted alongside Stallone, De Niro and Keitel in “Cop Land”. Ray, who was adopted by a New Jersey couple as a kid, never watches his films. We recently had the opportunity of seeing him in “Powder Blue”, where he played Jessica Biel`s father.
Robert de Niro almost always plays bad boys. We know him for embodying Vito Corleone in his younger days, after Brando withdrew from acting in Coppola`s famous film. He acted alongside Liotta in the “Goodfellas”. Still, he is mostly remembered for the line “You talkin` to me?” from the “Taxi Driver”. De Niro was frequently in the media, he supposedly likes prostitutes, while the Italians loathe him because he always plays Italian men. Six years ago, de Niro was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he supports Al Gore and voted for Obama.
Al Pacino is also a bad boy, de Niro`s colleague in the “Godfather”, where he played Michael Corleone. We remember him for his starring performance in “Carlito`s Way” and “Scarface”. Alfredo is famous for many relationships, scandals and for never been married, despite the fact that he has three children.
Denzel Washington is a minister`s son. His parents divorced when he was just a boy and this affected him quite badly. He studied medicine, was interested in law, wanted to become a journalist and in the end, lucky for us, he ended up being an actor. Experts say that Denzel`s face is the closest to the ideal male face. Interestingly enough, we love him for his role in “Training Day”, which he was awarded with an Oscar for. He refused to work with Quentin Tarantino because he uses the word “nigger” too much. What is there left to say? He has principles and charisma. Who needs more?
We remember Sean Connery for many parts, from his James Bond, which shot him to stardom, to Ecco`s “Name of the Rose”. Even though he is in his 8’s, he lives with style, loves whiskey, martini, plays golf, is a hypochondriac, wants Scotland`s independence, likes in the Bahamas, Los Angeles and Spain. Who would not want to grow old with him?
