Since 1962, when the first sequel of the film serial James Bond was made, being 007 agent’s partner has become a matter of prestige.

James Bond girls have their merit for the enormous success of this film serial. The most famous secret agent has always had to deal with beautiful girls. Sometimes they are on his side, and sometimes they are his rivals.

In the first movie “Dr. No”, shot in 1962, Ursula Andress played Honey Rider, and entered history as first Bond girl. This beauty of Swiss origin became a sensation after this role, and she went on to co-starred with Elvis Presley in Fun In Acapulco. 

Later, in 1963, James Bond appears in the movie “From Russia with Love”, this sequel is considered the most successful Bond film still today. Due to the fact that it still receives praise from critics after over forty years. Sean Connery’s partner, beautiful Russian Tanya Romanova, is played by gorgeous Daniela Bianchi. 

Daniela Bianchi‘Gold Finger” followed in 1964. This sequel was the third film in a row about the secret agent, but the first one to be named blockbuster. The movie features the oldest Bond girl ever, Honor Blackman. She is not so much remembered by her name, as much as for the name she had in the movie, Pussy Galore, a sexy ringmaster.

In the sixth sequel of the series made in 1971, actress Jill St. John plays the character Tiffany Case Bio, a diamond smuggler. 

In 1973, Jane Seymour starred in the eighth sequel in the role of Solitaire, a beautiful and naiive girl who looses her innocence to agent 007. 

Lieutenant Anya Amasova, interpreted by Barbara Bach in the 1977 movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, is remembered as ‘Agent X’, a KGB secret agent, whose lover is killed by James Bond. 

Famke Janssen1983 is the year of the film named after a gem smuggler and manager of an international circus, Octopussy, interpreted by Maud Adams. 

Differently from the previous, 'Golden Eye' (1995) was the first James Bond movie that was not shot according to a book by Ian Fleming, but by Michael France. The movie features Pierce Brosnan in the main role, and Xena Onatopp is the Bond girl played by Famke Janssen. Famke plays a KGB army pilot and professional killer. 

The award for the best bikini, in a tough fight with Ursula Anderss, went to Halle Berry with her character agent Jinx in the movie ‘Tomorrow never dies’.  

Although she has yet to play the part of Bond girl as Daniel Craig’s partner in the newest sequel, Gemma Arterton deserves to be on this list. The 21-year-old actress was chosen among 1,500 candidates. One look is enough to see why.
