PhotoThe former Beatle treated New York to mini concert during the David Letterman Show.
Many New Yorkers, to be precise Manhattan residents, had the opportunity of enjoying a concert held by Sir Paul McCartney at the balcony of the Ed Sullivan Theatre. This 20-minute attraction drew the attention of passers by who witnessed him playing, Telegraph writes.
This 67-year-old singer performed a few songs on the David Letterman Show.
McCartney, who took part in Letterman`s programme for the first time, sang “Coming Up”, “Back In The USSR” and “Let Me Roll It”. He mentioned Michael Jackson, saying he was a deal and talented man.
“Yesterday” without being nervous
Paul was quite talkative in the studio, remembering the Beatles` performances, they played at the exact same place in 1964. Paul explained that when they first appeared in America, the lads were scared.
He explained that the manager asked him to sing “Yesterday” on his own and asked him if he was nervous. Paul said he wasn`t, but it was pointed out to him that he should be because he was performing in front of 73,000 fans.
