The book will be offered on Tuesday auction and is expected to fetch around 60,000 pounds.
Auction house Christie's announced the auctioning of the rare edition of Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of the Species” discovered in the toilet of a guest house in southern England.
Christie's said that this book, one of about 1250 copies published in 1859, was on the book shelf of the family home in Oxford.
The book will be offered at auction on Tuesday on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the publication. It is expected to be sold for around 60,000 pounds (99,000 U.S. dollars).
