Much awaited video for `Break the Ice` has disappointed the audience as well as critics. Britney is featured as an anime heroine.
Britney is featured as a Japanese anime cartoon heroine in her new video for “Break the Ice”, taken from the “Blackout” album. The video`s plot is much like the one in Britney`s “Toxic” video, where she seduces, steals poison and kills an unfaithful man.
Watch her latest VIDEO and see shots from the video in the PHOTOGALLERY.
While watching the video, viewers have a feeling they are watching a video made by a fan of animae cartoons, who has added Britney`s song as the background.
Once the video ends and when you realise it is not a mistake and that it was in fact the pop princess` new video, you feel disappointment, whether you`re a fan of her hits like “Toxic”, “Baby, One More Time”, “Oops, I Did It Again” or not.
Although Spears is famous for her life and custody battle nowdays, the pop singer was always famous for her videos. Even though we did not always get them, like “Gimme More”, in the end, we were impressed and realised this was in fact the best thing for that song.
But, now, there can be no excuses. The much announced video, which was supposed to shoot Britney Spears back into stardom, is simply bad. “Break the Ice” is considered to be one of the best songs featured on the album and one must wonder what was she thinking when she agreed on the video.
