Lil Wayne, whose new album was the biggest seller of the year, leads this year's field of Grammy contenders. The rapper scored eight nominations including album of the year. Coldplay's not far behind: the British rock group earned seven nominations. Grammys will be given out February 8th in Los Angeles.

Beyonce notched her fifth solo Number 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart - that's one more than she scored as a member of Destiny's Child. "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," rose one place to the top, swapping places with T.I.'s "Live You Life."

It's official: Jane Fonda will return to Broadway after a more than 40 year absence. The actress will open "33 Variations", in March 2009, a drama about a musicologist's study of Beethoven.

Finally, Debra Messing and John Leguizamo danced in the holiday season. The pair ushered in their comedic Christmas flick, "Nothing Like the Holidays" at a star-studded Los Angeles premiere. The film will officially open on December 12.
