The latest celebrity news including Madonna kicking off her tour and Ben Stiller`s `Tropic Thunder` reigns at the box office and more...

"Queen of pop" Madonna entered the stage on a throne on Saturday as she kicked off her world tour, and defied her age with athletic dance routines before tens of thousands of screaming fans. The U.S. singer, who turned 50 a week ago, opened her "Sticky & Sweet" tour at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Art and Culture officials in Malaysia have changed their mind and have now given the green light to allow Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne to hold a concert ahead of the country's independence day celebrations.

Ben Stiller's comedy "Tropic Thunder" took the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office for a second straight week. The film earned just over 16 million dollars (USD) in the U.S. and Canada over the weekend. That was enough to hold off the comedy "The House Bunny," which stars Anna Faris who plays a Playboy bunny who gets kicked out of the mansion.

Lastly, a thousand lucky fans had a chance to meet the stars from "High School Musical 3." Zac Effron and Ashley Tisdale were among the cast that made a surprise appearance a sneak preview of the upcoming film.
