As an agreement was finally reached between Big Brother Recordings, whose co-founders are Oasis members, and label giant Sony BMG, we are free to announce the new Oasis album will be released on Monday October 6, 2008, called `Dig Out Your Soul`.

Ged Doherty, one of the leading people in the SonyBMG UK promotion team said that Sony was pleased with the cult band Oasis` decision to stay with SonyBMG,

The first single from the long-awaited album will the `The Shock of the Lightning`. It will be heard on air from August 15, while the single will hit the shops on September 29. The band will shoot a video in mid-August and the possible locations are Los Angeles, London and Paris.
