Britney Spears is back! The until recently fallen queen of pop made a great come back last night at the MTV music awards in Los Angeles. The singer received three awards for the song “Piece of Me” – for best video, best pop video and best female performer video. The troubled singer finally confirmed that bad times are a thing of the past and that she still has a thing or two up her sleeve.

Resurrection of Britney Spears

- Thank you. I’m in shock right now. I was not expecting this -  Spears said and thanked God, her family and her two sons who inspired her every day.

British comedian Russell Brand hosted the awards and did not fail to commend Britney.

She is a “really great person”, but some people get beaten by fame, Brand said about Britney, adding that many media toyed with her.

- Consider this the resurrection of Britney Spears and a launch of a very new Britney Spears era. It there was a female Christ, it’s Britney – Brand said.

Britney outshines other winners 

Any stars performed at the spectacular event, such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Kid Rock and the Jonas Brothers.

Britney Spears outshined all the other winners.

Linkin Park won the award for the best rock video for “Shadow of the Day”. Chris Brown got the best male performer video award for “With You”. Teen Tokyo Hotel band got the best new performer or band award for their song “Ready, Set, Go!”.
