Scott Ruffalo, 39, a hair stylist, was taken off life support Monday night, police said.
Actor Mark Ruffalo's brother has died a week after he was found at his Beverly Hills home with a gunshot wound to the head, police said on Tuesday.
Scott Ruffalo, 39, a hair stylist, was taken off life support on Monday night, police said.
Ruffalo died hours after a woman wanted by police in connection with the shooting -- Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26 -- surrendered and was charged with attempted murder.
In the wake of Ruffalo's death, she is expected to be charged with murder. Brian Scofield, 29, who police named as a "person of interest" in the case, surrendered along with Adham but has since been released.
Police have given no details about the motive for the shooting or any details about Scofield and Adham or their relationship with Ruffalo.
But the celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported on Tuesday that Adham told police that Scott Ruffalo died during a game of "Russian Roulette."
Lt. Tony Lee, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, said only that detectives "are releasing very little at this time because there is a very intense, active investigation going on."
Mark Ruffalo, 41, played a detective in the 2007 movie "Zodiac" and starred in the drama "All the King's Men" in 2006. He has made no comment about the shooting of his brother.
