Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's foundation donated a million dollars for the war devastated Sudan capital, Darfur.
More than two million people were left without their homes in Sudan and about 240,000 more fled to Chad.
The UN refugee agency announced the donation yesterday, as Angelina is a UN goodwill ambassador. The money will also be distributed to the SOS Children's Villages.
Angelina and Brad not only donate money for refugees, but are also careful not to pollute the environment.
They have started building one of the five houses which will be environment friendly, i.e. which will have their own energy source.
Brad Pitt designed those houses. He collaborated with the organization Global Green USA on the project, reports http://www.intogossip.blogspot.com.
Brad hopes that president Bush himself will promote the houses because he thinks that this is the future of environment protection.
"It doesn't have to cost more. It doesn't have to look like a spaceship in the desert,'' said Brad.
