Anne is up for the Best Actress award for her part in `Rachel Getting Married` and is keen for her family to share in her success.
Anne Hathaway is taking her father as her date to this year's Oscars ceremony.
The 26-year-old actress is up for the Best Actress award for her part in 'Rachel Getting Married' and is keen for her family to share in her success.
She said: "I'm taking my dad. Hopefully, if I can squeeze a few more tickets, I'm going to see if I can take my brother and my mom."
Anne added the Academy Awards ceremony, which takes place on February 22 at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, is particularly important to her as it is the first time she has been nominated for the prestigious accolade.
She revealed: "This is my first, maybe my only, time going. Hopefully not! My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I definitely wanted them by my side."
It had initially been thought Anne - who split from long-term boyfriend Raffaello Follieri last June, weeks before he was arrested on multiple counts of criminal fraud - would attend the event with her new boyfriend US actor Adam Shulman.
