Aronofsky, Damon And Wahlberg In The World Of Box

Movies about boxing are almost frequent as movies made by comics. One every year: next could be directed by Aronofsky.

Darren Aronofsky, director who won us over with the movie ˝Pi˝ , and then shocked us with ˝The Requiem for Dreams˝ is working a lot lately. That is probably the result of last year's failure in front of criticis, as well as in front of the audience.

Science fiction romance  ˝The Fountain˝ according to published information cost 35 million dollars, and earned only 14 million in the whole world. That is the strong reason for devoted work for somebody who is not used to competition.

He decided to return with the story about Boston´s boxer Micky 'Irish' Ward who managed to conquer the light category with the help of his half-brother and coach Dicky. Aronofsky thought about Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg as leading actors in movie  ˝The Fighter˝, but in the potential crew there are also some interesting names. One of them is Paul Attanasio, scenarist responsible for the first season of ˝The Homicide Department˝ serial.

˝The Fighter˝ project looks promising on the paper: good dialogues by Attanasio, Aronofsky with his unconventional directing and almost top actors. But still… on paper everything seems good.
