Although the 36-year-old actress is reluctant to have anymore children, Ben is convinced he can change Jennifer`s mind.
Ben Affleck wants to have a son.
The actor - whose wife Jennifer Garner gave birth to second daughter Seraphina Rose last month - is keen to keep expanding his brood until they have a boy.
A source close to Ben - who also has three-year-old daughter Violet with Jennifer - said: "Ben's happy to keep going until he gets his boy. He has visions of dressing a little guy in Boston Red Sox gear, tossing a baseball around and cheering in the stands together."
Although the 36-year-old actress is reluctant to have anymore children, Ben is convinced he can change Jennifer's mind.
The insider added to America's OK! magazine: "She's told friends that she's done. She jokes with Ben, 'If you want more babies, you'll have to find a way to produce them yourself!' but Jennifer is a big softie when it comes to giving Ben what he wants."
Jennifer has previously spoken of Ben's excellent parenting skills. She said: "You know how as a kid you picture yourself with a tall, handsome husband, and you imagine him cuddling your baby? Ben is like that. "Violet prefers him to anyone. He's a teddy bear of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her little hands on his face. He has a prevailing calm."
