Billy Bob Thornton Happy for Angelina Jolie

Thornton admits he was thrilled when Angelina confirmed she is expecting twins.

Billy Bob Thornton has congratulated his ex-wife Angelina Jolie on her pregnancy. Thornton admits he was thrilled when the ‘Tomb Raider’ actress confirmed she is expecting twins with her long-term partner Brad Pitt last week.

He said: “I think she was always meant to be a mother in so many ways, I’m just so happy for her. I’m happy for the kids to have a mother like her and a father like him.”

The 52-year-old actor also praised Jolie’s charity work and humanitarian efforts.

He added to America’s OK! magazine: “I’m astounded that somebody has that kind of passion and that much energy for something that actually does affect people and help people out.”

Thornton and Jolie got married in 2000 after meeting on the set of ‘Pushing Tin’. The pair split two years later, shortly after Jolie adopted her son Maddox, now six, from Cambodia.
