Daniel also ruled out ever going under the surgeon`s knife.
The Bond actor will be midway through filming 'Quantum of Solace', his second outing as the suave British spy, when he reaches the landmark age on March 2 and he wants to celebrate it in style.
He said: "I was a pain in the a**e at 30. I didn't know what I wanted to do. I couldn't commit. Not much has changed. "My 40th is in the middle of Bond but I'll celebrate it as best I can because I've got a feeling that 49 is going to come around really quickly."
Daniel, who showed off his honed physic in tight blue swimming trunks for 'Casino Royale', also ruled out ever going under the surgeon's knife. He added to Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "If it starts to drop, it starts to drop. No one like to get old and sag, but surgery, that's not right."
The handsome star recently revealed he enjoyed a "wild blow out" on food and drink after he wrapped 'Casino Royale'. He joked: "I hadn't touched food I loved for seven months, so I was like, 'Right, I'm eating this and stuff you all.' "I had never drunk vodka martinis in my life but f***ing hell, I drank bucket-loads of them when we finished."
