Donating Blood Is Good For Health

Text

A new study recommends donating blood because it reduces the level of iron, which is good for the veins.

A scientific study was conducted on 1,227 subjects aged 43 to 87, whose blood supply to the extremities was weakened because the peripheral arteries had been hardened.

The results show that the subjects between the age of 43 and 61 are less likely to have a heart attack or suffer from other medical conditions if they donate blood, which reduces their blood iron level. The decrease of the mortality rate is also notable.

Researchers claim that the decrease of the iron level can also be achieved with diet limitations and medicine, but further research has to be done in order to verify the results.

The results of the study were published by the Journal of the American Medical Association.
