The hip hop legend is going to produce and MC his new solo album, which will feature many big names on the hip hop scene.
"Detox," which was conceived way back in 2001, was conceived as an album that will feature all the big names of hip hop with whom Dr. Dre collaborated in the course of his career.
They include Snoop, Eminem, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Xzibit, Mary J Blige, Nate Dogg, Nas, and The Game. They all confirmed their involvement.
Another group that will be featured on the album are Niggaz With Attitude, whose members include MC Ren and Ice Cube, as well as several guys who are new on the scene.
In an interview for the L.A. Radio Power 106, Dr. Dre said: "I am trying to gather everyone I have ever worked with over the years, so that they are all on the album. I have also invited the new, unknown guys who I work with, Bishop Lamont and Slim The Mobster. These two guys are amazing, artists from the west coast."
"Detox" should be released in September.
