At an auction last week, Elvis’ medication was sold, a gold plated gun, Hitchcock’s passport and Marilyn Monroe’s umbrella.
The king may have left the building, but his drugs are still here. A bottle of Elvis’ antihistamines which his doctor prescribed for him, was sold last week at an auction for a bit more than 2,600 dollars.
Quite a large price for a bottle of medicine. Even though the bottle still contains the original tablets, the Los Angeles Police Department warned the auction house that selling those tablets would be a violation of federal law.
Another unordinary object was Elvis’ gold plated gun which reached a price of 28,000 dollars. Alfred Hitchcock’s passport was sold for more than 19,000 dollars, and Marilyn Monroe’s umbrella was sold for 42,000 dollars.
