Fans Head Out For Stadium, U2 Sailing In Adriatic?

Text

Many photographers have occupied marinas of Split and Dubrovnik, because it is believed that U2 members will be spotted there.

Ever since they began their “360 degrees” tour in June at Barcelona`s Camp Nou, promoting their latest album “No Line On The Horizon”, members of Irish rock band U2 have been causing euphoria at every step. Apart from their music, they are famous for social and political engagement, which includes fighting poverty and AIDS in Africa.

All fans who will be watching U2 tonight in Zagreb have been invited to take part in a special surprise for the band. All they need are balloons in orange, white and green, in order to create an Irish flag.

Before tonight`s spectacle, rumours started circling that U2 members are currently sailing in the Adriatic Sea. Many photographers have occupied marinas and airports of Split and Dubrovnik, because it is believed that U2 members will possibly head out for Zagreb from these locations.

It is no surprise that the popular band decided to sail the much-praised Croatian coast, because they recently admitted that nobody, apart from Bono, has ever been to Croatia, but they heard many nice things about the country. Perhaps Bono told them a few stories, who has sneaked in Croatia a couple of times before.

Hotels fully booked

While they are supposedly sailing the Croatian sea, fans of the Irish four have arrived at the Maksimir stadium on Saturday night already. Given that 23,000 tickets were sold for the central part of the stadium, it is no wonder that the fans want to enter the stadium as soon as possible, to get through to the giant stage.

Craig Evans, Live Nation representative, explained that the idea of the circular stage by Mark Fisher, was not to have it cover up the band, but to be larger than the stadium, at the same time, disappearing from the horizon.

Organiser Vladimir Ivankovic of Lupa Promocija confirmed that 40,000 foreign tourists would occupy Zagreb and that thanks to the musical spectacle, all hotels are fully booked.
