Goran Visnjic Requests Right to See Daughter

Visnjic did not turn up at the hearing because of the media storm and his daughter’s mother exited the courtroom in tears.

After admitting to a municipal court judge that 8-month-old Lana Lourdes is his daughter, actor Goran Visnjic requested, via his attorney Marijan Handzekovic, the right to see his daughter, although he has that right by law. It is now up to the court to decide how often Visnjic will be able to see his daughter.

Visnjic did not turn up for the scheduled hearing because, as his attorney said, of the media storm. But his daughter’s mother, Mirela Rupic exited the court in tears.

The court decided today on the amount of alimony Visnjic is to be paying for his daughter, but Mirela Rupic’s attorney, Nenad Skare, refused to divulge the set amount.

Visnjic’s attorney requested of the court that the children’s ombudswoman intervene so as to protect Lana Lourdes.

Earlier Goran Visnjic denied any relations with Mirela Rupic, he reduced their affair to a ‘mistake during a drunken night’. He said about his daughter that he would acknowledge her only if a DNA analysis proves her to be his daughter. The media were shocked when he said that his daughter could contact him “only if she grows up to be a decent person”.

Visnjic has failed to turn up at any of the scheduled hearings so far.
