Two Australian young men are making a documentary on the 90`s punk explosion, gathering Green Day, Blink 182, Rancid, NOFX...
Green Day, Bad Religion and Blink 182 are in the list of bands to perform in the new documentary on the punk rock scene of the 90`s. Independent Australian production company Robot Academy Film will produce the film with the working title “One Nine Nine Four”, which should appear on the market next year. The authors of the punk explosion review are two Australian 22-year-olds Jai Al-Attas and Matt Wardle. Dissatisfied with “The Year Punk Broke” film, which covers only 1991, then decided to cover the entire decade of punk development, accompanied by bands like Green Day, The Offspring and Rancid.
They temporarily moved to Los Angeles in January and started talking with numerous musicians like NOFX`s Fat Mike or Blink 182. Skater legend Tony Hawk will narrate the story, and apart from musicians, managers will appear, as well as booking agents, producers etc. You can find all the details about the film on MySpace web site of Robot Academy Films, and see the rough trailer with guest appearances by Fat Mike, Green Day, Rancid and Scott Russo here.
