The `9 To 5` star says writing the book has made her realise how eventful her life has been.
Jane Fonda says the internet has changed her life.
The 71-year-old actress had barely used a computer before starting an online diary on her website, janefonda.com, but feels closer to her fans after giving them regular updates about her new Broadway play ‘33 Variations’.
She said: “I thought it would be interesting to bring people through the process with me. I was a complete Luddite before. I only Googled for the first time this past summer.
“But this is a gratifying experience and I hear from all sorts of people, many of whom say they have left the theatre inspired by this play.”
As well as embracing new technology, Jane is also reaching out to her fans by penning a follow-up to her 2005 autobiography ‘My Life So Far’. She added: “I’m about 10 chapters in.”
The ‘9 To 5’ star says writing the book has made her realise how eventful her life has been.
She told the USA Today newspaper: “It allowed me to understand the connection between all the different parts of my life. I didn't even appreciate how many there were until I was on the road promoting the book.
"Someone would come up to me at a signing and say, 'I marched with you in San Diego in 1970, remember that?' And someone else would say, 'This video you did helped me recover from a mastectomy.' If you look through my scrapbooks, it's like looking at 20 different people."
