Tweed, 21, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, was sentenced after being found guilty of attacking Stephen Wilkins in Epping last May, the Press Association reported.
Tweed attacked Wilkins after a night out while his cab was travelling at 50 mph. He also threatened to stab him after he asked for the fare in advance, his trial had heard.
"We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence, which would otherwise have been 18 weeks," said bench chairwoman Margaret Webb.
Mother-of-two Big Brother contestant, Goody, died earlier this month after a high profile fight against cancer. She and Tweed married after doctors told her the cancer had spread and was terminal.
Justice Secretary Jack Straw had to intervene to amend Tweed's bail conditions to allow the couple to spend their wedding night together.
Tweed was told he would spend half of his sentence behind bars before being freed on licence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of 455 pounds and 200 pounds to Wilkins.
It was the second time in six months that Tweed has been found guilty of an assault.
In September, he was given an 18-month jail sentence for hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club.
He was released from prison on licence in January, but ordered to wear a monitoring tag and observe a curfew.
