Alex Reid is amazed by how close his wife Katie Price is to his mother Carol and admits they gang up on him after an argument.

The cage-fighter - who married the former glamour model in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas earlier this year - is amazed by the close bond his mother Carol has formed with his wife and finds she often sides with his spouse if the pair have an argument.

He said: "My mum loves Katie - in fact she always sides with her in everything and tells me off, which I can't understand and is really annoying!

"But Katie's mum, Amy, sides with me against Katie, so I guess we are even."

The 35-year-old hunk is close to his family and was left devastated when his uncle passed away last week, though his loss has made Alex more determined than ever to enjoy his life.

He added in his column for Britain's Star magazine: "It was a sad time for me last week as my uncle Terry Thorne died so I want to say RIP to him. I remember holidays down to Cornwall with him when I was young that were great.

"His death really reminded me of the people I have lost who were important to me, and not to take life

too seriously. We need to remember to have fun while we can!"
