M. Ronson Dosen`t Wanna Give His Award Away

Text

The pop producer won`t be attending this year`s show because he hasn`t been nominated and doesn`t want to appear `desperate`.

Mark Ronson isn't going to the BRIT Awards because it would be too "weird".

The pop producer won't be attending this year's show - despite winning an award last year - because he hasn't been nominated and doesn't want to appear "desperate".

Mark, 33, said: "I think it would be a bit weird to go. I performed last year and got an award for Best British Male and I worry that going when you're not nominated is a bit tragic. It might look a bit desperate going if you're not presenting or anything.

"Like, 'I won last year, remember?' It would be a bit like making me give my award over to someone else - awful."

Mark isn't familiar with the latest music of the nominees in the British Male Solo Artist category this year, which features Ian Brown, James Morrison, Paul Weller, Mike Skinner of the Streets and Will Young.

Mark added to Britain's More magazine: "I think that a lot of people like Paul Weller, he's a bit of an icon and someone you want to give it to. And I'm a fan of Ian Brown too, but the rest of the category I didn't hear the albums, so I don't know."
