Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Heather Mills will reportedly celebrate his 65th birthday together.
The former Beatle turns 65 on June 18 and will have a special celebration with Heather and their three-year-old daughter Beatrice, according to reports.
A friend of the separated couple told Hello! magazine: "Paul, Heather and Beatrice will have a special celebration, with cake and presents. It will take place on the day of his birthday and Heather will buy Paul a present from Beatrice, but also one from herself.
"It is being done essentially for Beatrice's benefit, but at the same time it's a measure of how well things are going between them."
Paul and Heather announced their separation last May after four years of marriage. Initially, they described the break-up as "amicable" but it soon degenerated into a bitter divorce battle.
Paul was reported to have described Heather as "argumentative" and "rude to staff", while leaked court documents revealed allegations made by Heather that Paul had been violent towards her.
At one point the pair refused to meet at all, and demanded nannies hand their daughter from one parent to the other. But relations between them have improved so much friends claim they have been meeting regularly and that Paul even sends Heather "little notes and flowers".
