Mel B Infuriates Spice Girl Bandmates By Marrying

Mel B infuriated her Spice Girl bandmates by marrying just days after they reformed, it has been reported.

Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Mel C - who gave their full support to Mel B during her bitter paternity battle with ex-lover Eddie Murphy - are said to be tired with all the publicity Mel B is getting.

A source said: “Victoria isn’t happy Mel has taken all of the attention away from their reunion tour. Victoria is trying to keep the peace and is encouraging the other girls to keep a low profile and prepare for their shows.” In recent months, Mel B has monopolised media attention after giving birth
to second daughter, Angel Iris - and proving Eddie Murphy was the baby’s father.

She then secretly wed film producer Stephen Belafonte and received more publicity following allegations he had attacked his former common-law wife Nicole Contreras. Earlier this month, it was revealed Belafonte was wanted by police - for killing a duck. The father-of-one has a warrant out for his arrest in his home state of New Jersey for killing the bird with a brick. Belafonte has admitted to bludgeoning the duck to death outside his Point Pleasant home, but fled to Los Angeles before paying his £300 court-ordered fine.

Mel was unveiled as a contestant on the new series of US TV talent show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ yesterday (29.08.07).
