Michael Lohan has heart attack

Lindsay Lohan´s estranged father Michael suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon (16.03.10) and is recovering in a New York hospital.

Lindsay Lohan's father has suffered a minor heart attack.

Michael Lohan was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in New York yesterday afternoon (16.03.10) after complaining of feeling unwell.

His journalist girlfriend Kate Major has since confirmed he suffered a heart attack.

She said: "He was short of breath all day. His blood pressure skyrocketed. Right now they’ve told him it looks like he had a minor heart attack but they are still doing tests on him.

"Michael was in Miami. We just flew back to New York. But he didn’t feel well all day."

Michael was taken to hospital last week after suffering chest pains and admitted he was concerned for his health before he was hospitalised yesterday.

Michael - who had been in Los Angeles last week to promote his upcoming cross-country bus tour reality show 'Crossing Borders and then flew to Miami to make an appearance on US TV show 'Geraldo' - told X17Online: "I just have to take it easy and I'll have to have surgery when I get back to New York."

Michael - who was recently blasted by his actress daughter for suggesting she should be in rehab for her prescription drug problems - is scheduled to have a procedure to clear his arteries on Friday (19.03.10).

It s not known whether Lindsay has been in contact with her 49-year-old father since his heart attack.
