Gary Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price filed another will in court yesterday (10.06.10), in which the late actor left all his possessions to her.
Gary Coleman's ex-wife filed another will in court yesterday (10.06.10).
The 'Diff'rent Strokes' actor - who died of a brain haemorrhage aged 42 last month - wrote the document just a week after he married Shannon Price in 2007, and bequeathed all his assets to his 24-year-old bride.
In the handwritten document, Gary states: "Shannon is sole heir of any and all monies, properties, bank accounts, earnings, model trains, vehicles, cars, toys, games, electronics, homes, other inheritances if any, all things physical and/or intellectual.
"This I have done because of my personal selfishness and weakness and I love her with all my heart."
The document is the second will to be filed, following a 1999 paper submitted to the court by Gary's former manager Dion Mial.
The businessman currently has control over his former client's affairs, but Shannon - who has claimed to have been on the verge of remarrying Gary before his passing - asked the Utah court to revoke his authority, insisting he had little to do with the actor when he died.
She said: "They had little, if anything, to do with each other."
She also complained that Dion unlawfully changed the locks on the home she shared with the actor.
However, it may be difficult to prove the authenticity of the 2007 will as it had not been witnessed or notarised.
Shannon - who was legally divorced from Gary on August 12, 2008 - insists she and Gary were in a common law relationship when he died, and as Utah is one of 10 US states that recognises common law relationships, she should be allowed to take charge of his body and funeral arrangements, angering his former manager.
Dion fumed: "She is the full and complete impediment to honour Gary's wishes."
