Brad Pitt’s former and current wives meet 

Days before the Academy Awards, media across the world waited with anticipation the meeting between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. The two ladies who are connected by the same man, Brad Pitt, did meet and although the two did not exchange angry looks, Aniston’s mere flaunting on the stage was enough of an occurrence to dub this the most interesting meeting.

Jennifer was presenting the award for best animated film with her colleague Jack Black. Angelina watched her from the front rows next to her husband Brad Pitt. Jenn seemed rather stiff, while Angie laughed ad Jack Black’s jokes, giving off the impression that she could care less for Jennifer.

Also, when it comes to the “scorned” Jennifer, there were rumours about engagements. The gossip around the red carpet was that her current boyfriend John Mayer was intending on proposing to her, which drew a smile to her face and, after presenting the award, she proudly hugged him.

Sean Penn slates ex-wife Madonna 

At a party after the Oscars, the winner of the Oscar for best actor, Sean Penn, sat in a corner and smoked cigarettes with Mickey Rourke, while Mick Jagger entertained women at the next table. Madonna, 50, who came to the party accompanied by her new boyfriend Jesus Luz, 22, came up to Penn, 48, and congratulated him for receiving the award. But Penn did not care for her congratulations. Rather, he could hardly wait to joke about her new boyfriend.

- Thank you. You found another child already? – Penn said to her, laughing.

In the meantime, the wife of football player David Beckham, Victoria, had a hard time at the party.

Posh Spice: Get Jordan as far away from me as possible! 

Victoria Beckham and her rival Jordan kept their distance at a party hosted by Sir Elton John after the Oscars, due to a feud which has lasted between them for a decade.

Posh Spice, 34, and Jordan, 30, were invited to Elton’s party and charity dinner. Even before the event, Los Angeles was filled with rumours that Victoria could escape the party so she could avoid meeting Jordan.

But both turned up at the dinner, and the organisers received special instructions to keep them as far away from each other as possible.

Jordan, whose real name is Katie Price, was sitting with the head of the X Factor cosmetic company and his former girlfriend Terri Seymour, while Posh was sitting with her Hollywood friends Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria.

Victoria did not want to give Jordan an opportunity to make a scene and give her satisfaction to meet face to face, so she avoided her the entire evening.

- She was concerned about sitting as far away from Jordan as possible and her table was surrounded only with friends. She left the party very early. Victoria thinks the whole thing is pathetic and did not want to allow herself to become star of the evening because of a starlet – a source said.

Is it possible to outshine the Oscars? 

The husband of Nicole Richie, a member of the rock band Good Charlotte, Joel Madden, definitely tried to steal the limelight at the Oscars by writing on his blog, on the day of the Academy Awards, that him and Nicole were expecting their second child.

- What's better than winning an Oscar? I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope you're all feeling as good as I am right now – Madden wrote. Joel and Nicole have a 13-month-old daughter, Harlow.
