When dad Lionel accepted the Icon award at the TV Land Awards, he pointed out he should have won an award for raising Nicole.

Popular singer Lionel Richie, who has been more present in the media lately because of his adopted daughter than for his music, arrived in London for the TV Land Awards ceremony.

Recently, his favourite Nicole Richie snuck out of her home to light up a joint with her friends. She was then arrested for driving under influence.

Forget about surviving 40 years in the music business. Just surviving 27 years of Nicole Richie has been a struggle-and-a-half, I want to tell you. I stand here as a survivor, I want you to know, for all the parents out there.

Nicole Richie is famous for her wild partying and friendship with Paris Hilton. They recorded a reality TV show together, called The Simple Life.

Lionel Richie is one of the most successful musicians of the 1980s, most remembered after his songs like “We Are The World”, “Truly”, “All Night Long”, “Three Times A Lady” and “Still”.
