PHOTO: Miss and Mr Croatia 2007 Chosen

The new Miss Croatia for 2007 is Tajana Jeremic and Mr Croatia Alen Kostelac.

The Miss and Mr Croatia 2007 beauty pageant took place yesterday night in the glamorous atmosphere of the Croatian Television’s studio Anton Marti in Zagreb. 

In the sharp competition of superfinalists, the title of most beautiful Croatian was given to 17-year-old student Tajana Jeremic from Vukovar while 21-year-old student and professional volleyball player from Sisak, Alen Kostelac was pronounced Mr Croatia.

-I am very excited. Subconsciously I expected to win, although I was not certain because the competition was severe – the excited Tajana Jeremic said.

-This victory is just for you, mom and dad – the new Miss Croatia 2007 added.

Her parents Zdenka and Vladislav Bancevic and cousin Bernarda were overjoyed with their Tajana’s victory.

The new Mr. Croatia Alen Kostelac also could not hide his excitement.

-I primarily feel very tired. The competition was so strong that nobody could say for certain who will be Mr Croatia – Alen told us.

-Since I won the title, I will model primarily for financial reasons – the 21-year-old student from Sisak said.

Although the pageants for Miss and Mr Croatia had been held separately in the past years, this year the two events were joined into one, which proved to be successful.

The show was opened Ana Rucner with a string orchestra. Then followed a choreography that the finalists prepared on Rabac under the supervision of choreographer Ivona Perkov.

The title of Miss and Mr personality went to Goran Narandja and Anita Stanic, while Alen Kostelac and Tajana Jeremic were given the title Mr and Miss photogenic.

In the talent part of the show some finalists made everyone in the studio laugh, especially Alen Kostelac and Goran Narandja for their interpretation of the song “Valentino and Renato, chocolate and cocoa”.

Lana Jurcevic, Jacques Houdek, Maja Suput and Istvan Varga and Los Cabaleros performed during the break.

The second runners up are Kristina Brkic and Antonio Sipic. Marina Cvetkovic Marossini and Goran Narandja took the titles of first runners up.

After the show the evening continued in Gastro Globus where a VIP party was organised for the winners of this year’s Miss and Mr pageant and guests from the studio. The glamorous party lasted well into the night.
