Nicole went flat-shopping with her little daughter in New York, where she was miles away from Paris Hilton.

Nicole Richie took a walk with her one-year-old daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden in New York City. The girls arrived in New York for the Fashion Week which was held there. Nicole took the time to go flat-shopping.

Her partner Joel is Benji Madden`s older brother, who was dating Paris Hilton. At the time when Hilton was still together with Benji, she supposedly wanted to hang out with Nicole, but she kept turning her down, while US media claim little Harlow would be better off in New York, because she would be miles away from her undestined aunt.

Desperate Paris

Paris is desperately trying to make up with Benji, but he has already turned a new leaf. He was spotted with young singer Katy Perry on St. Valentine`s Day. Hilton kept calling him, trying to persuade him to take her back, she even stalked him at nightclubs, but the poor guy keeps running away from the annoying heiress.

- Paris still has very strong feelings for Benji and seeing those pictures [with Katy Perry] has really hurt her - especially as they were taken so close to her birthday. She is determined to get Benji back and she is not going to let anyone or anything stand in her way – a source revealed.

Adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, Nicole Richie (26) and her boyfriend Joel Madden (26), singer of Good Charlotte, became parents of the little girl in January last year.

Richie became famous hanging out with celebrities like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. The hotel heiress filmed a reality TV show with her, The Simple Life.
