Police Offers Transport To Drunk Citizens

Citizens of a small west Florida town can from now on drink themselves into oblivion, and not worry about getting home.

Local Shalimar police offers a free ride home to citizens, and there are about 700 of them, if they have a drink or problems with their vehicle.

They publicised this service on the Internet at the beginning of January and five police officers drive their drunk fellow-citizens home in shifts.

Everyone is overjoyed because now they can drink without the fear of losing their driving licence.
