The former `O.C.` actress isn`t ready to tie the knot, but is keen to start a family.

Rachel Bilson wants to have a baby "in the next couple of years".

The former 'O.C.' actress - who is currently dating her 'Jumper' co-star Hayden Christensen - isn't ready to tie the knot, but is keen to start a family.

She said: "I don't need to get married right now. I am more ready for a baby than marriage. Not really tomorrow, but definitely in the next couple of years which is the pretty near future. You have to have the guy, you know?" When asked if she had found the future father of her children, Rachel
replied: "I am happy where I am."

The 27-year-old brunette also revealed she is learning to play chess in a bid to finally beat Hayden at the strategy game.

She added to Britain's InStyle magazine: "I am learning chess at the moment. A certain someone happens to be very good and I don't think I will ever accomplish beating that person. But that is the goal."
