Sean Bean to divorce

'Lord of the Rings' actor Sean Bean to divorce fourth wife Georgia Sutcliffe after a stormy two-year marriage.

Sean Bean is getting divorced for the fourth time.

The 'Lord of the Rings' actor's wife Georgina Sutcliffe submitted a petition to the High Court in London, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the end of their two-year marriage.

Sean and Georgina, 32, have had a stormy relationship.

Their wedding was called off 24 hours before the event in January 2008 for "personal reasons" but then went ahead weeks later.

In July 2009, the 51-year-old actor was briefly arrested after Georgina accused him of assault, before she asked police to drop the charges.

The actress later downplayed the incident saying: "Everything is OK. Sean and I are at home together enjoying the sunshine.

"He was arrested. Everything was blown out of proportion. Sean is fine and I'm fine. There's no problem between us."

In March this year, Sean denied divorce rumours saying: "Things are more settled. There will be no more divorce."

Sean married his first wife Debra when he was 19 years old.

He has two daughters from his seven-year marriage to his second wife, actress Melanie Hill and another daughter with his third wife, actress Abigail Cruttenden.
