Thief Breaks Into Paris Hilton`s Home

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton's house was broken into on Friday by a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves who forced open the front door and made off with belongings, police said.

The burglary as reported by a security guard at Hilton's gated Los Angeles community, French said.

Police did not release the value of the stolen items. But French said the robber "ransacked" Hilton's bedroom.

Hilton, 27, a member of the family that founded the Hilton Hotel chain, is a fixture of the Hollywood social scene. She starred in reality television show "The Simple Life" and has pursued a career as an actress and singer.
