Nine Inch Nails frontman joined Queens of the Stone Age on their new studio albu, “Era Vulgaris”, but not in the title song as well.
Rock giants Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails frontman are colaborating on their latest album, but Reznor is still not involved in the title song “Era Vulgaris”, although he was supposed to be featured on it, as the first version of the story stated. This fact gives a small dosage of mystery to the long-awaited Queens album, but the album will surely be very creative, said Josh Homme for Billboard.
Strokes` singer Julian Casablancas was successfully featured on the song “Sick, sick, sick” in the role of the additional guitar player and vocalist. Homme did not manage to team up again with colleague and former associate from the previous album Billy Gibbons, otherwise ZZ Top guitar player. Right upon the album`s release on June 12 (Interscope), Queens will head for the European tour, but Homme pointed out that a short unconventional American tour follows, which will not be based on larger cities but smaller places where they have not played before. Homme`s project Desert Sessions is “on ice” at the moment, which does not mean it will not be continued.
