Usher Didn`t Know His Wife Wanted Plastic Surgery

The singer only discovered Tameka Raymond was having liposuction earlier this month.

Usher reportedly had no idea his wife was planning to undergo plastic surgery in Brazil.

The singer only discovered Tameka Raymond was having liposuction earlier this month when he received a phone call to say his wife was in an induced coma, according to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Usher rushed to the Sao Rafael Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, after learning Tameka had suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest when she was being anesthetised.

Tameka was revived with heart massage from the cardiac arrest in less than a minute and placed in an induced coma before being moved to the intensive care unit.

She was later transferred to Sirio-Libanes Hospital - one of the best in Brazil.

After spending 11 days recovering from the incident, Tameka was finally released from hospital on Monday (15.02.09).

Mirtes Bogea, a spokeswoman for the Sirio-Libanes Hospital, refused to elaborate on her health, saying: "We do not have any more information about her condition."

Usher and Tamkea have two sons together, Usher Raymond V, two, and Naveid Ely Raymond, two months.
