V. Beckham `Too Busy` to do Desperate Housewives

Victoria Beckham is "too busy" to appear on 'Desperate Housewives'.

The star's close friend Eva Longoria, who plays Gabrielle Solis on the hit US TV show, hoped Victoria would land a cameo role - but the former Spice Girls star-turned-fashion designer can't fit it into her hectic schedule.

Eva said: "She is a bright girl and so funny. We would love her on the show and the show's creator, Marc Cherry, thinks she is super. But Victoria is way too busy with her fashion empire, which is a shame."

However, it has been claimed 34-year-old Victoria doesn't want to appear on 'Desperate Housewives' because she is intimated by the show's talented cast - which includes Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman.

A source told Britain's New! magazine: "Victoria knows her limitations. All the girls are great actresses and she has no plans to compete there."

This isn't the first TV series Victoria has been invited to star in.

She had a cameo in 'Ugly Betty' in 2007, where she played Wilhelmina Slater's bridesmaid.
